Our Story

More than two decades of keeping clients ahead of the curve.

Nitec was founded in 1998 by Nigel Mulholland and Peter McMahon, starting out in the attic of a dental surgery in Lisburn. What began as a small project has grown steadily into a trusted IT partner for organisations across Northern Ireland and beyond.

Today, Nitec is a team of more than 75 people, headquartered in Antrim. We continue to grow each year, supporting clients locally and across Northern Ireland and beyond.

1998

Nitec achieves Investors in People accreditation, reflecting an early commitment to developing people and building a strong organisational culture.

2001

Scalable infrastructure for clients

The launch of Microsoft Azure marks a shift towards cloud-first thinking, influencing how Nitec designs scalable infrastructure for clients.

2010

Cloud based productivity

Microsoft introduces Office 365 (now Microsoft 365), reinforcing the move towards modern, cloud-based productivity and collaboration.

2011

Cloud Partner of the Year

Microsoft Ireland Cloud Partner of the Year, recognising leadership in cloud adoption and modern infrastructure.
