A team from Nitec recently took part in a charity 5–a–side event to raise funds for the Tuberous Sclerosis Association and Motor Neurone Disease Association Northern Ireland.
Over 120 volunteers took part in the Annual Charity Football Competition in June, hosted by consulting engineers Ian Black Consulting. The 16 teams from right across Northern Ireland and as far as Galway came together at the Lisburn Leisureplex to compete for two trophies and raise funds for worthwhile causes.
The donations made by each player in the Nitec team, as well as by the business, raised £165 for the charities, contributing to a record grand total of £4,100. All proceeds went to the Tuberous Sclerosis Association and Motor Neurone Disease Association Northern Ireland, the charities chosen for this year’s event due to family members of Ian Black Consulting employees being affected by these conditions.
